Main Purpose of the Role
To work on job specific seating & event facility CAD models, assemblies, layouts & site GA’s, from the initial feasibility study to the final fabrication/construction issue.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure all design files & project information are stored and managed in accordance with company procedures.
* Issue basic Steel, Aluminium, Plywood and GRP fabrication drawings.
* Create & develop 2D/3D AutoCAD layouts, models and assemblies to meet project specifications, relevant Industry guides & standards, including sightline studies.
* Maintain and improve the library of standard parts, bespoke parts & large assemblies in 2D & 3D.
* Create site construction drawings & layouts.
* Create & develop civil engineering/architectural layouts liaising with internal & external departments.
* Create, revise & manage project specific bill of materials.
* Visit client sites to carry out site survey work when needed.
* Generating basic 3D visuals.
* Revising and checking of models and layouts as requested.
* Carry out from time to time and as directed, any other reasonable duties as required in addition to the above that will be both reasonable and within your capabilities.
* Ensure that at all times you take care of your health and safety and that of others by complying with health and safety obligations.

Knowledge Required
* A background in Architectural metalwork, staircase design & Construction or an understanding of Engineering & Construction principles.
* Basic understanding of Building Regulations.
* Basic understanding of Stadia related Regulations.
* A background in Temporary/Modular Structures (preferable).
Skills & Qualifications
* Advanced knowledge of Autodesk AutoCAD in 2D & 3D using both Model Space & Paper Space with at least 3 years of experience.
* Good spatial perception & reasoning – Ability to think in a three-dimensional manner.
* Basic knowledge of Autodesk Navisworks (preferable).
* MS Office package.
* Professional qualifications in Civil/Structural/Building/Mechanical Engineering or Architecture to a minimum of HNC/HND is desirable.

Other Information
A full, clean driving licence is required. This role involves some travel to site (UK and International) therefore passport and ability to travel is required
