Junior CAD Designer
Location: Membury (Hybrid)

Main Purpose of the Role
To work on job-specific seating and event facility CAD models, layouts, assemblies and site GA’s under supervision from senior team members, supporting projects from initial feasibility to final construction issue.
Key Responsibilities
Design and Drafting
* Basic CAD Modelling: Creation and development of 2D and 3D AutoCAD layouts, models, and assemblies according to project specifications.
* Basic Fabrication Drawings: Contribute to the preparation of basic fabrication drawings for materials such as Steel, Aluminium, Plywood, and GRP.
* Project Layouts: Create and revise site construction drawings and layouts under the guidance of senior designers.
* 3D Visuals: Assist in generating basic 3D visuals to support project presentations and client proposals.
Project and File Management
* Documentation Management: Support the storage and management of design files and project information following company procedures.
* Bill of Materials: Assist in the creation and management of project-specific bills of materials, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
Collaboration and Communication
* Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Projects, Operations, and Procurement departments to ensure alignment and support in delivering project requirements.
* Client Interaction: Participate in site surveys and client visits to gather data and provide support as needed.
* Internal Liaison: Coordinate with internal departments to assist in the development of civil engineering and architectural layouts.
Continuous Improvement and Learning
* Library Maintenance: Help maintain and improve the library of standard parts, bespoke parts, and large assemblies in both 2D and 3D formats.
* Skill Development: Take initiative in learning new CAD techniques and software to enhance personal and team productivity.

Knowledge Required
* Basic understanding of engineering and construction principles.
* Familiarity with architectural metalwork, staircase design, or construction is advantageous but not essential.
Skills & Qualifications
* Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD in 2D and basic 3D, with at least 1 year of experience.
* Basic spatial awareness and the ability to think in three dimensions.
* Competency with the MS Office package.
* An entry-level qualification in Civil/Structural/Building/Mechanical Engineering or Architecture (such as a relevant diploma or certificate) is desirable.

Other Information
A full, clean driving licence is required. This role may involve some travel to site (UK and International) therefore passport and ability to travel is required
